Title

How do microtubule asters migrate in the cell?

Abstract

The centration of sperm microtubule asters in a fertilized egg represents a ubiquitous and stereotypical aster long-range movement. In sea urchins, sperm asters starts nucleation at the periphery of large eggs (100 um in diameter), and then move straightly towards the cell center with high speed and unusual precision. In this talk, we will discuss how these aster motion characteristics are determined.
